Origins of the Term"Broad"

Today at lunch the question came up about the origins of the term "broad" when it is used to referr to women. Here is what I found on urban dictionary:

The term originated in the 1930's meaning woman; derived from the fact that the most defining characteristic of all females are their hips, which are proportionally wider than the hips of their male counterparts.

Speaking of hips, here we can see a picture of International singing sensation Shakira...her hips were imortilized in her hit song "Hips don't Lie.

Tunnel Vision

The Ugly Truth

So I am always down for a good rom com but this kind of missed the mark for me. All the parts that were about to be cute were ruined by rounchy and crude jokes. They should have cleaned this up some, gotten the PG-13 rating, and made a better movie for a bigger audience. I love the concept though.

T2 Hitting the Top 10

So while I am not a fan of Transformers 2 there are plenty of other people that are. It looks like by the end of this weekend it will pass The Lord of the Rings 3 with 377 million to take the 10th highest grossing spot of all time (domestic). It might even pass Star Wars 3 and become the 9th with 380 mill.

This new single cam, half hour comedy preming on ABC this fall this excellent. I got to see the pilot and it rocks. Funny, smart, witty I love it. Check out the trailer.

Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana

This is the name on the new Disney Channel special that aired tonight. Here is the premise. Hannah Montana is going to Hawaii for a concert via the cruise ship that Zack and Cody live on for their show Suite Life on Deck. In addition everyone from Wizards of Waverly place are just chilling on the boat. This is another example of Disney's pure genius.

Great Job Fox News

They are dominating cable. They are the #3 channel on cable only behind USA and TNT. CNN is 14th and MSNBC is 19th. The network's total viewership is up 35% and 54% for the coveted 25-54 year old desired demographic. Fox also has all of the top ten most watched cable news shows...that's epic.

So people hit the streets today to protest Obama's healthcare proposal.... finally.

No Emmy nomination for Jeremy Piven?

What? Piven has been nominated the past four years and won the past three years in the best supporting actor category for playing Ari on Entourage. This year he gets nothing. I am not down with that. Word has it people are mad that he quit his broadway play in the middle of its run. But the person vendettas need to be left out of the nominations. Oh well.

Man Stallion-A History

In case you were wondering about the origins of Man Stallions let me tell you. While there are many people throughout history that may have been Man Stallions none of it has ever been confirmed. The there are only two currently know Man Stallions alive today, which makes them a rare breed indeed. The first one was born in January of '88 and the seconded one followed about 8 months later in August of '88. This obviously was a magical year. While science has found that many humans are close to being Man Stallion only these two cases have been officially proven to be 100% Man Stallion thoroughbreds. The hope of this blog is to help those that are not sure discover if they are Man Stallions or not. If you find what you learn here to feel natural then there is a chance that you might be destined for Man Stallion-ism.

So today during lunch I over heard this women talking to her friend on the phone. She was saying how it is OK that she is eating Taco Bell because she went on a walk this morning. Man Stallions...this is not the way to stay fit.

While we use to be huge fans of Transformers, the sequel was far below par. Now since we are mad that it is the highest grossing film of the year we put our support behind HP. And our wish is coming true. Harry set the new midnight showing record with $22.2 million...that beats previous record holder Dark Knight by almost $4mil and Transformers 2 by like $6 mil. Also HP set this record with very few IMAX screens because Paramount made sure IMAX kept T2 on the screen till after HP was released...sneaky sneaky.

So I just ate a Western Cheeseburger from Carl's Jr. and I don't know if it was them, but who ever thought of the idea to put an onion ring on a burger might possibly become an honorary Man Stallion...nice work buddy.

Man Stallion Vocab

On top of the common Man Stallion vernacular such as: Rufus, Healthy, Epic... The newest word to the bunch is now...CRISPY--meaning cool or awesome.
